The Detective # 4 – The Illusion
Most of the crimes in a city this big goes unsolved and we all know it. Yet we persist in trying although we know that it’s all an exercise in futility and bulllshit.
Why?
My answer is this and I really and truly believe it.
We try because it gives the illusion that there is some order to society and by extension, the universe. You and I know that there isn’t. But we have to maintain the illusion because if we don’t then it’s back to the dogs and then we’ll all be lost.
